The season of the departures

The last season could be defined as the "season of the departures". Why? Because we have lost 4 players good enough for the Tippeligaen and the Europe League. However, when a society is in crisis, doesn't have money and doesn't have ideas, the best thing it can do is to start over. 

NIELSEN - We've lost Nicki Bille Nielsen, a player that gave us many problems, it's true, but the one that in 50 appereances scored 24 times, almost 1 goal in 2 matches. Yes, the club was able to sell him the double to the Evian (in euros, he was bought for 675.000€ and sold for 2 millions), but the fact is that now we've lost one of the best players we had. How the club will use that money?

CHIBUIKE - The nigerian midfielder left us with 87 appareances and 32 goals. But the statistics cannot explain the importance that the player had in the matches. Strong, powerfull, one of the best midfielder able to stop the opponent's counterattack. Obviously he wasn't the best player at all all over the world, sure, but for our dimension, for a club that wanna play the Europe League and win the Tippeligaen, John Chibuike was really good. And we lost him.

DISKERUD - Unacceptable. This departures cannot be justified. No money can explain it, also because he left us free. Totally free. Our club wasn't strong enough to let him sign another contract, and so he was totally free to go to anoher team. It is said to Mexico, or USA soccer league. Sure, he's strong and Rosenborg cannot let him to win anything, and so he wanted to go away. But the fact is that we have lost a real good player. USA national midfielder, the 24 aged player has a glorious future. And we wasn't able to sell him. 

GAMBOA - Nothing to say. I've just repeat the same thing I wrote about Diskerud. You have just to change his role, fullback. After his very very good World Cup in Brazil everyone in Trondheim could bet on his departure. And so, West Bromwich Albion bought him for almost 3 millions (in euros). I can bear his departures, because he didn't leave us for free, but I'm very sad because he's a very good fullback. 

Start over, it's the only way left. Everything depends on the way the club will spend his money. Rosenborg, revive!

Rosenborg, Nielsen: the new player's words

Emil Nielsen, the danish former Roskilde forward, spoke about his transfer to Rosenborg:

"RBK was the team who followed me the most. The society knows my skills. Many teams tried to buy me, and I was in trouble, but at the end I decided to go to Rosenborg"

Nielsen collected 17 presence and 7 gold In the danish Second Division.

"In November I was afraid of my departure abroad, out of Denmark. But I thought it was better to live alone, playing soccer. I'll be under pressure, yes, but this is my job, and Rosenborg is a great team"

"I trained a couple of time with the team during last month, and it was incredible. It was something terrific, so different compared to Rosklide. I have my own locker, with my name, and a car with driver brought me to training"

The hope is that this Nielsen will be quieter than the other one, but strong like the other one.

Where were we?

Hi guys
I was very busy, and so I couldn't write anything about Rosenborg from July untill now. What happened? So many things, I saw the last post I wrote was about Per Joar Hansen, the former coach. It was substitued by Ingebrigsten, the one who is still coach today. Our team arrived at second place in Tippeligaen 2014: it means that e shall play the Europa League qualifications. Last year, this season, we did not win the last qulification match, and so we had not the possibilities to play the play-off match.
What's the situation now?

MIX DISKERUD - The Norwegian-USA midfielder  during his permanence at Trondheim was often tempted by very important soccer teams, all over the european leagues, but he decided everytime to stay in the Tippeligaen. Now his future is doubtful, because the tension is high at Trondheim.

IT'S HARD TO BREATHE - The Rosenborg economic state is in a bind: the managers said that the sponsors money are not enough, and the tickets too. So it was necessary to sell someone: Berntsen, that went to Djurgarden. The causes of this situation are three: Nielsen, Chibuike and Brede Moe, good players sold or few moneys.

FRIENDLY MATCHES - Seeing that the training for last season was injurious and deleterious, this year mr. Inge decided that was necessary to have few friendly matches against weak teams. The hope is that this decision will be a good decision.

I'm glad to write in this blog, after so many complicated months of silence. I whish you had understood what I wrote!

The Nicki Bille instance: Rosenborg spoke

Finally the society spoke about the Nicki Bille Nielsen instance. Bille was arrested in Copenaghen by the police, and there were many doubts about his permanence in Rosenborg Ballklubb. It was not the first time, indeed, that the Dane striker made something wrong cause of his behaviour. This is the communicate made by RBK via his website:

"Since the case with Nicki Bille Nielsen happened and was made known to the club, we have worked to provide us the relevant facts of the case. The case is covered with great interest and has many aspects to it. As an employer, we must act responsibly and protect the club, players and others involved. We consider it very serious that one of our players being detained by police, brought to the police station and get the charges against him. Rosenborg players are role models and should act accordingly. In Rosenborg should be room for everyone and it should be possible to have a different personality.

The club has in recent days been in contact with Nicki Bille, we have talked with appropriate witnesses, been in contact with Nicki's attorney, watched videos of the arrest and spoke with the police in Copenhagen and Trondheim.We have also been in contact with Nicki Billes agents and interrogated us with relevant professionals.

We do not and can not decide whether police in Copenhagen have acted reprehensible. Our point is that the police, whether in Trondheim or Copenhagen acts as a track power to do.

The club wishes to stress that we are looking very seriously at what happened.

Based on the information we currently have and Copenhagen Police further process, will Nicki Bille from Friday again be in training in Rosenborg. We perceive that there is no doubt that Nicki in this case has acted inappropriately to public space and through that again put himself in a situation where he has been in trouble with the police and arrested. This is not consistent with being Rosenborg player and role model.  

The club's reaction to what has happened is that Nicki Bille imposed alcohol ban. In addition, the club along with Nicki utilizing his positive qualities and energy in social work. We will get back to what this entails.

So Bille will remain at Rosenborg, but he will be utilized in social work, and will be imposed an alcohol ban for him.

Primi passi sul mercato

La stagione si è appena conclusa, ma il Rosenborg ha subito mosso i primi passi nel calciomercato, affinché il 2014 sia un'ottima annata calcistica. Quest'anno le due medaglie d'argento (secondo posto nella Tippeligaen e secondo posto nella Coppa di Norvegia) non sono piaciuti a nessuno, e lo scopo del club di Trondheim è quello di costruire una buona squadra per poter arrivare nel migliore dei modi possibili a giocarsi l'entrata nella fase finale dell'Europa League. Anzitutto c'è da chiarire l'interesse dello Stromsgodset nei confronti di Daniel Berntsen, il ventenne centrocampista del Rosenborg (nato e cresciuto nel Bodo/Glimt) che non è stato molto utilizzato durante questa stagione e ha detto che vorrebbe avere più spazio nel 2014. Bernsten dice di aver dimostrato quello che vale, e pensa di essersi conquistato un posto in squadra. Vedremo come finirà la vicenda.
Sempre riguardo il mercato in uscita il Rosenborg ha salutato Jon Hoiland, dopo tre anni e ventinove presenze di permanenza a Trondheim.
Il prossimo potrebbe essere Nicki Bille Nielsen. A dire la verità ci sono molti dubbi su Alexander Soderlund: la mezza stagione giocata a Trondheim è stata parecchio deludente, e si vocifera una sua partenza. Il giocatore era stato comprato per sopperire ad una mancanza in attacco, ma a quanto si è visto è stato un po' inutile il suo ingaggio. Nonostante ciò probabilmente verrà confermato, al contrario di quanto potrebbe accadere per il danese ex Reggina. Nielsen smentisce, dicendo che è contento di stare al Rosenborg, gli piace l'ambiente e la squadra, ma forse complice anche il suo carattere non proprio da "bravo ragazzo" (e vi rimando a questo articolo, per chi se lo fosse già dimenticato Nielsen arrestato: ma oggi sarà in campo ), potrebbe essere ceduto. Certo, l'attacco perderebbe la sua pedina principale, il trascinatore della squadra, e se dovesse andare via lui, probabilmente si dovrebbe fare un colpo di mercato quantomeno alla sua altezza. Il club di Trondheim pare preferisca comprare una vera ala per l'attacco, utilizzato Soderlund centrale e sacrificando quindi Nielsen.
