How could we won yesterday? It was crazy, we were 2-0 then... the darkness. Strandberg did himself, the defense turned off itself, and Haugesund could overcome us. How could they do it?!
Incredible, we could win just because they had the, according to me, worst keeper in our league. Yes, he's young and he has to improve himself, but fortunatly against us wasn't good.
But in Europe we cannot hope in the keeper of the other teams, we have to stay in the match, concentrated.
Helland, Riski and Jensen well done, but we're dependent on Gamboa and Diskerud!
C'mon Rosenborg, let's going on! Perry: finally you're lucky! At least...

Here I am again to talk about, of course, Rosenborg. Tomorrow we'll play against Kalmar FF, the real first test of the season, and we won't have some players, that are still injuried.
Tore Reginiussen is still injuried, he had also to stay on ultrasound, in order to see when he could come back, but from the medical staff it is said that we've to keep calm, because it's better to have him at the best, even if this would mean to have him later on the weeks.
Perry had to compose the defense with Gamboa, Ronning, Dorsin and Skjelvik. But Ronning is still not ready for the whole match. Indeed this will be the squad, with the 4 defenders Perry tested: Daniel Örlund-Cristian Gamboa, Micke Dorsin, Per Verner Rønning, Jørgen Skjelvik - Mike Jensen, Mix, Gamst Pedersen - Nicki Bille, Alexander Søderlund, Riku Riski.
Someone said that at midfield we have many problems, because we have so many players, like Mike Jensen, Jonas Svensson, Mix, Daniel Berntsen, John Chibuike, Fredrik Midtsjø, Pål André Helland and Bent Sørmo, the "magnificient seven". I've to say that Midtsjo could be a great resource for us later on, as subsitute of Gamboa. He demonstrated against Levanger what he can do as fullback, but we've to see him against a stronger team. With the Kalmar could have been a good chance to see him, he could demonstrate how he good he was, but Perry decided in a different way. Maybe he'll shift him as fullback during the match.
I insist on Midtsjo because Perry tested so many players as fullbacks, but nobody did like Midtsjo did (I repeat, Midtsjo played against a weak team). He tried Mikkelsen, Dorsin, but none of them did well. Now, that we've find out a good substitue, he didn't test him.
In that list of midfielder, there's Helland. But Helland is a forward instead, we all know it.
He could be considered as lateral midfielder if Perry played with a 4-2-3-1, or something like this. But Perry insists on the 4-3-3, and so that problems doesn't exist.
But reading the squad we can see a great surprise: Gamst Pedersen as midfielder, lateral midfielder. Yes, he can be a midfielder, but as I could see, he's very good at attacking. We have so many forwards, Perry in the last matches used to place in the field a lot of strikers, but according to me in the wrong roles.
Bille, for example, did very bad when he played as a wing in attack. And we've to consider also that he broke up with his girlfriend, and maybe he could not be perfect tomorrow. But he's a professionist, we know it, and he'll have to play at his best.
Perry still wants try Soderlund as pivot, with Riku near him. No comment, I wrote about Sode many many times in the past.
What make me laugh, is that Perry seems to test new kind of squads and modules, but indeed nothing changed during this pre-season. We've seen only players shifted in many roles, but nothing clear. The match we played demonstrated two things, according to me: the first one, that we need Chibuike in every match, and the second one that we cannot play with the 4-3-3 at all. Using almost 4 forwards, it's impossible to win, we could have perfect halfbacks, but we don't have. Mix is very good, but he cannot work lonely in the defensive phase.
Concerning Mix, still goes on the discussion with the society after he wasn't allowed to play with his national team against Ukraine. Hoftun maybe is yet thinking about a way to sell him.
In this week Arni Vilhjálmsson trained with us, but the society rejected him. As I wrote on twitter, starts the countdown to see when he'll become a talented. Hoftun pay attention.
Finally, it turned out that Rosenborg asked to have the UEFA Supercup in its stadion, at Lerkendal, in 2017, for the centenary of the club.

Rosenborg - Costuleni 3-0. Copa del Sol is over
Yes, we were already out of the tournment before this match, but we played very well indeed. I could see how the team has really enjoyed it. The line-up was the usual 4-3-3, with the three forward that were Mikkelsen, Riku and Soderlund, like the first match against Astra.
We had several opportunities throughout the course of the match. Such occasions we have had playing a very fast game ( a kind of game that has become the prerogative of Rosenborg) , in an offensive way and running a lot on the wings, but in the meantime we did not neglected the defensive phase. The Costuleni had only one opportunity to score with a header from a corner kick , but the defense has been able to clean up. Rosenborg on the other hand had two great occasions with Soderlund , the better of the first half according to me , which attempted to score with a header in the middle of the penalty area , and later took the bar with a powerful shot . In the second half there was no match : Rosenborg covered well all over the field , with numerous entries inside the area of the midfielder and building a good game, based (after Bille entered) on a filtering passes. The Danish has been able to juggle the ball in midfield , playing behind the wings forward , Sørloth and Riski.
Mr. Hansen has therefore changed, in the course of the match, the line-up , playing with a 4-3-1-2 , which allowed the construction of all three goals . Since Bille came in the Rosenborg has shown more dangerous.
The first goal was scored by Strandberg. There was a corner kick, Strandberg headed the ball and scored the 1-0. Since then only the Rosenborg seemed to play the match.
The second goal was scored by Bille: Helland took the ball in the area, then passed the ball behind to Bille that shoted a powerful kick and the keeper couldn't do anything to save the ball.
The action that led to the third goal was started (just for a change) by Bille, who fed the ball to Helland, that made a lob and scored easily.
We made three goal in almost ten minutes, then the match went over: the Costuleni didn't anything to score and Rosenborg controlled the game.
We went out of the tournment because Astra won against AIK (we would come out of the tournament because we had also lost the head to head against the Astra), but we had played a good match, we won easily, I've to admit, and I liked the way the players played. I'm a bit doubtful about the red card to Strandberg, I didn't understand very well why the referee did it.
I know that this matches (pre-season friendly matches) are not very important (they aren't important at all) but indeed (like all the other friendly matches all over the world, of course) they're very important to understand what kind of line-up is better to win the matches of our league, or to win in Europe, in order to go in Europa League. I think that the newcome Riski will be very usefull. I'm very doubtful (and I was already the last season) about Soderlund as first string, but Mr Hansen played in this few friendly with him as regular. I'm very happy that Chibuike didn't leave us in this transfer market, because he's very important as playmaker, but also as halfback. With a 4-3-1-2 we are more dangerous on the wings, thanks to players that run a lot, and are able to overcome the opponents easily (like Helland) and with this line-up we're very dangerous also with Bille that is more free to create the actions and make opportunities to score. Chibuike is able to run, create opportunities and intercept balls. The only great problem that I saw also the last season, is that we get tired in the last league matches. This year, then, there is also the World Cup, which will see us without key players such as Mix and Gamboa. We must be careful not to waste our energies at once, in the first few games (this is a task that must be able to do the technical staff), and it is essential to buy some important reserves in the summer market. First win of 2014: Rosenborg-AIK 5-2
Finally a good news! Rosenborg won its first match in the second journey of the Copa del Sol tournment. As usual we went in the field with our 4-3-3 line-up, with Chibuike in the role of playmaker, behind the three forwards: Helland, Bille and Soderlund. I have to apologize for what I said in the previous vlog, the team fortunatly proved me wrong.
We made a very offensive game, with Chibuike that set up the actions, in role of playmaker, in order to pass the ball to the wings forward (Helland and Nielsen), that tried to cross the ball in the area, or went in to the center, near the borderline of the penalty area, then tried to shot. But we were very absent-minded in the defensive phase, above all on the wings, our fullbacks (Skjelvek and Dorsin) weren't very careful, indeed the action of the first AIK's goal, began in the wings. Dorsin let the opponent cross and Bahoui Igboananike scored. But we were playing quite well, indeed we didn't change our way of playing, and at 9' we had the opportunity to equalize with a penalty. Soderlund scored the 1-1, six minutes after the goal by AIK. The game was very enjoyable, not at all boring, and both teams played in an offensive way, allowing the opponents to create the actions.
At the 12' AIK scored again, with another action started in the wings. Another cross and Markannen, lonely in the penalty area, was able to kick in the goal.
Now I was afraid that, like the other matches, we got depressed, and didn't play as well as before the goal. But, maybe unexpectedly for me, Rosenborg still tried to score in the same way, very determined to equalize. In this phase of the match we were very messy, but at the same time very determined to score, And we did it, with another kick (free-kick) by Helland (according to me the best player in the first half).
So, a very good and enjoyable first half ends 2-2.
In the second half, there was the turning point. All along the second half, the AIK wasn't dangerous at all. We played very well, like in the first half, but at the same time (perhaps the opponents players were tired) we were more careful at the back wings. At 56' entered Gamboa in place of Skjelvek (not a good match for him, at all) and at 60' Chibuike scored with a great gol from a long range. Nielsen made the assist for Chibuike the threw the ball under the bar, so strong that not even the goalkeeper saw it.
Chibuike was the best player of the second half, because, with the scoring 3-2, had to make counter-attacks in order to close the match. So, he did it, with a great action in counter-attack, he overcomed the midfield and four opponents with great strenght, then he passed the ball to the left to Bille, that passed again the ball to Chibuike that easily scored. 4-2. The AIK wasn't able to react, and so was easy for us to score again, the 5-2, with Mikkelsen at 81', entered in place of the tired Nielsen, with Riski in place of Helland and Jensen of Svensonn.
The match is over: 5-2.
It was a great test of determination, physical strength, and I finally saw a lot of movement by the forwards. The only weakness is the defense, which today has been able to hold the opportunities of the opponents (perhaps for the lack of determination and lucidity of the opposing team) but that we must absolutely correct. There is an obvious problem of concentration, mainly on the cross from the wings, which easily come into the penalty area and are easily diverted into the net.
But I've to admit that I've enjoyed it.

Il Rosenborg risponde allo Stromsgodset e vince contro il Sarpsborg
Una partita che andava vinta, e che il Rosenborg ha vinto. Forse è stata la svolta della stagione. Una partita complicata, contro una squadra che ha dato molto filo da torcere all'RBK, sebbene sia l'ultima in classifica. Come al solito il Rosenborg domina la partita, a parte gli ultimi dieci minuti del primo tempo, dove infatti la squadra di casa trova il gol su rigore. Un rigore assolutamente inesistente, per un fallo di mano che non c'era affatto. Il pallone tirato basso aveva trovato il corpo di Stranberg, che aveva colpito la palla con il braccio sì, ma chiaramente attaccato al corpo. Già qualche minuto prima il Sarpsborg aveva chiesto un rigore che forse ci sarebbe potuto anche stare, ma che l'arbitro non ha voluto assegnare. La stagione sembrava compromessa, ma il Rosenborg c'ha messo il cuore e il coraggio, e dopo un secondo tempo passato a spingere e cercare la vittoria (il pareggio non sarebbe stato un risultato né giusto né buono ai fini della classifica), ha trovato il gol con Chibuike, che aveva preso la traversa nel primo tempo di testa da distanza ravvicinata. Il Rosenborg continua a spingere e trova il gol del vantaggio con Helland, che si alza la palla e insacca in fondo alla rete, facendo scoppiare di gioia i tifosi giunti fino a Sarpsborg. Il giocatore più tenuto sott'occhio è stato Nielsen, a causa dell'episodio di qualche giorno fa. I suoi tifosi gli hanno addirittura fatto uno striscione in un perfetto latino: "Humanum errare est". Nielsen è stato l'assist-man per il pareggio di Chibuike al 72', che riceve il cross basso e teso e insacca. Si è mosso bene il danese, e ha cercato più volte di segnare. Sì è sacrificato parecchio per la squadra. L'arbitro è stato protagonista in negativo della gara, che ha assegnato un rigore non giusto, non ha espulso il portiere avversario (e avrebbe potuto, avendo preso la palla di mano fuori dall'area), e ha preso molte decisione secondo me sbagliate. E' stato invece molto intelligente mister Hansen, che ha saputo gestire bene le sostituzione, facendo entrare prima Selnaes Ole, che ha avuto l'influenza fino a poche ore dall'inizio della partita, e che ha iniziato l'azione del pareggio del Rosenborg, e dopo Helland, autore del gol del vantaggio, esattamente ottantadue secondi dopo il gol del pareggio. Finalmente è arrivata la mentalità del vincente, per una squadra che sta dimostrando di meritarsi il primo posto e la finale di Coppa di Norvegia. E che potrà fare molto bene il prossimo anno per le qualificazioni in Champions League.
